International Border Water Fishing Regulations for NON-RESIDENTS:

PLEASE NOTE: These non-resident regulations are designed to keep people from coming over the border and spending the day meat-fishing and then going home. If you are visiting Ontario for a couple of days, your take-home limit is the same as residents and you can eat Walleye and Lake Trout while you are here. These special regulations only apply to Walleye and Lake Trout.

Walleye Regulations (Division 32):
Open Season: Jan. 1 to April 14 & 3rd Sat. May to Dec. 31
Catch & Retain in One Day - Sport License: 2 in one day
Possession Limit - Sport License: 4 in total
Size Restrictions: Only one greater than 18.1 inches

Catch & Retain in One Day - Conservation License: 2 in one day
Possession Limit - Conservation License: 2 in total
Size Restrictions: Only one greater than 18.1 inches


Lake Trout Regulations: (Division 32)
Open Season: Jan. 1 to Sept. 30
Size Restrictions: Only one over 22 inches from Sept. 1 to Sept. 30

Catch & Retain in One Day - Sport License: 1 in one day
Possession Limit - Sport License: 2 in total

Catch & Retain in One Day - Conservation License: 1 in one day
Possession Limit - Conservation License: 1 in total
